First time users – it’s a WOW

There is nothing quite like watching someone who is part of the oldest old cohort or greatest generation use a voice assistant for the first time. Assistance is needed with setting up the device along with enabling the voice assistant companion app, but once done, defining the best use case for each individual is the key. Concise instruction on use, along with teaching only a few simple utterances works best. Start with features they already do every day – do they listen to music, read, or checking the weather.

Voice Designer tip – Instruction in the app description are rarely seen. For first timers, be sure to let Voice app users (Skills or Actions) know there is a help utterance.
